Main goals of the Agency:

1. Reduction of the energy consumption of the municipal buildings in Pest County

2. Reduction of the energy consumption of private households and SMEs in Pest County

3. Contribution of the energy saving efforts also in other regions in Hungary.

4. Emission of information for several target groups on energy savings and environmental protection; including organization of conferences, emission of leaflets and newsletters. 

5. Promotion of the economy within Pest County and Hungary by means of the increased competitiveness due to lower energy costs and the application of alternative energies

6. Reduction of carbon dioxide emission in Pest County

7. Contribution to the more wide-spread application of renewable energies; the most important of these seem to be the utilization of agricultural waste in biomass and biogas plants and the application of windpower.

8. Distribution of information on local, regional and governmental sources of funding for energetics projects.
